Ice Cream Night

Tonight after supper we made a trip up to the local Dairy Queen for some yummy ice cream, while we watched Biggest Loser. Funny huh?? We got the girls each their own ice cream cone. One would think this was a mistake, but we only get to have these funny moments for a short while, so why not. Emma goes to town like a pro eating hers. She has a ring of the ice cream around her mouth and Shawn looks back to her and says, "Emma, you got milk?" She replied with, "no dad! I have ice cream..." We thought it was funny...
Then Anna who is a little scared of the ice cream because it is so cold. She wasn't too sure about eating it with her mouth so she decided to start HER HANDS. (if you are woNDERING WHY the caps are going on and off, its BECAUSE I HAVE A TWO YEAR OLD HELPer ThaT LIkes to watch the light come on)...sO Anna had ice cream ALL over herself. Shawn mADE ME GET HER OUT OF THE CAR. HE IS A WEINER!
EVERYTHING ELSE HAS BEEN GOOD. ANNA HAS BEEN TRYING TO SAY EMMA, BUT IT DOESN'T COME OUT RIGHT.
GOING TO BED....

Busy Day

Today was a very busy day and I am pooped. We woke up and went to the Dallas zoo. Very fun. I am so glad we were able to get the season zoo pass. The best investment of the year so far. We stayed there for about 4 hours and the girls loved it. Emma road a the horse around a little circle, which I had to pay 2 dollars for, but it was worth it. She hopped on that thing like she knew exactly what to do. Anna loves the monkeys, but doesn't like the monorail. She really doesn't like to sit still for a long amount of time and 2 minutes is too long.
Mimi is doing better. She will be moving to a rehab facility soon...
I am going to bed because i can hardly keep my eyes open...

Perfect Day...

If there is such a thing, it always seems to happen when Shawn is home. The girls just act like normal human beings. They play and stay out of my hair, eat lunch, then lay down and take a nap with no problems. Any "normal" day, they would be following me around, whining, not letting me get anything done around the house.
Shawn went to the Opening Day at the Rangers Stadium yesterday. His shipping guy Alvin took him. He did not take sun block so his whole face is blistered extremely bad. He was running a high fever so he stayed home from work today. Of course, the girls did just what I said. They acted like little angels up until dinner. Then he witnessed what Anna does ALL day when I am here alone. She walks behind me like a little shadow, whining. I pick her up and then she wants down. Its a vicious cycle, I know.

quiet time...

At the moment the house is quiet because the girls are sleeping. That could change at any given moment. If they wake up then they want to come straight to me. They love to poke around on my computer and now my shift key has fallen off. Wonder how that could have happen?
Emma has started to "try" to repeat anything we say at times. She has her own way of saying things also. Chik-fil-a is chik-a-day to her. She has heard me say "oh gosh" on a number of occasions that she walks around the house and says "oh gosh" to everything. She thinks that everyone and everything (her dolls) are sick now and need to go to the hospital. Since we have been up there so much lately with Mimi, she thinks that everyone should go.
Anna is a lil' toot. She will find some how and some way to get her body parts stuck in whatever. She has gotten her elbow stuck in a booth at a restaurant. Her leg stuck in Shawn's recliner, and yesterday at Lowe's she got her foot stuck in the buggy. I am going to have a heart attack one day with these girls. She has started trying to talk as well. MaMa, DaDa, Mimi, Paw, Bye Bye are about the extent of her conversations. Will let you know when more things start coming out of her mouth.
Had a garage sale yesterday and made a whole $40. Oh well, that happens. I have two photo shoots this week and am super excited. I love what I do.
Shawn is in there working on his websites.
Thats about all for this week, need to get up and start some dinner....

First time..

This will be my first official blog on here. Someone told me that they blog so their kiddos will have something to read when they are older. So thought I would give it a shot.
Emma is now 2 yrs. old and we are doing the potty training routine. It is a struggle and very time consuming. I know it will all be worth it in the end. She is at the age where she has not learned to pronounce all her words correctly. So thunder is thumber, and there are more but i can't think of any right now.
Anna just turned one last week. She has been walking for a couple of months now and is starting to say MaMa, Da da, Paw and Mimi. She really doesn't have much hair on her head, but it is growing. She loves her sister and wants to be with her every minute of every day.
Mimi is in the hospital right now as I am writing this and not doing too good. I want my girls to know her more and for her to be able to watch them grow. She is a very sweet, but strong willed lady, who doesn't hold back from saying anything. always says whats on her mind, but is always there to help at anytime. She has helped me so much with the house and kids. Teaching me how to be a christian and doing what is right. A little judgemental at times, but in a sense everyone is.
Shawn is staying busy at his 40 hour a week job. Then he comes home to do the websites and to do the T-shirts for our shirt business (the shirt squad). Always on the computer or the phone unless he is playing with his girls. He goes out in the back yard with them, runs through the yard playing super baby or kicking balls at them. We never get alone time, but we will when we are old and gray.
I am trying to start my photography business. I am doing part time work and staying at home with the kiddos. I have a FULL day of cleaning, running, potty training, etc. I feel like I am going crazy sometime because I hardly ever get a break. I am a member of the Lakepointe MOPS group and that helps me keep my sanity. Full of nice ladies that are good examples to me.
